Boca de Tomatlan is a small fishing community located 19 km south of Puerto Vallarta, in the Mexican state of Jalisco, on the Pacific coast, about 19 km south of Puerto Vallarta.
The community is a well-liked destination for snorkelling and diving enthusiasts. You will find lush jungles, lovely sandy beaches, and crystal-clear blue waters teeming with marine life. Several hiking paths also lead to secluded waterfalls and breathtaking views of Banderas Bay.
Despite its small size, Boca de Tomatlan offers many tourist amenities, including eateries that serve traditional Mexican food and fresh seafood, beachside bars, and independently owned stores that sell handcrafted goods.
Boca de Tomatlan, a small fishing community, is located on the southernmost point of the Bay of Banderas. From Boca de Tomatlan, travellers can take a water taxi to neighbouring locations like Las Animas, Quimixto, and Yelapa, which can only be accessible by boat. These areas are well-liked by outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers because they offer secluded beaches, hiking paths, and waterfalls.
