Preparations for the 14th edition of the Ceviche and Aguachile Festival are underway

On Saturday, July 29, the 14th edition of the Ceviche and Aguachile Festival will take place in our city, with the participation of at least 12 local restaurants that will offer around 50 varieties of these delicious dishes. In addition, we will have the presence of renowned international chefs from Peru and Colombia.

At a press conference headed by the Director of Tourism and Economic Development, Christian Salvador Preciado Cázares, together with organizers Edgar Cisneros and Federico Pérez Gordillo, as well as the President of CANIRAC Puerto Vallarta, Jorge Luis Carbajal Díaz, the details of this event were announced.

The official highlighted Mayor Luis Alberto Michel Rodríguez’s interest in promoting events that boost the economic and tourist activity of our city. For this reason, activities such as this one will continue to be developed to offer visitors more options to make their stay more attractive.

The festival will take place during the summer vacations, and is expected to be attended by between 2,500 and 3,000 people who will be able to enjoy the culinary delights and other activities prepared for the occasion. In addition, part of the proceeds will go to the Municipal DIF System to support its social programs.

Edgar Cisneros, one of the organizers, explained that the event will take place on Saturday, July 29th at Hidalgo Park, from 12:00 noon to 8:00 pm. There will be the participation of 12 restaurants from Puerto Vallarta and Banderas Bay, offering around 50 varieties of ceviches and aguachiles, as well as drinks, craft beer, desserts, music and fun for all attendees.

Chef Federico Perez highlighted the presence of two international chefs from Peru and Colombia, who will act as jurors in the contest to award the first three places for the best specialty dishes at the festival.

Jorge Carbajal Díaz, president of CANIRAC Puerto Vallarta and Bahía de Banderas, assured that these festivals enrich our destination with gastronomic samples, delighting both residents and visitors. In addition, they allow tourists to get to know Vallarta’s cuisine, which will be highlighted even more with the participation of international chefs who are experts in the preparation of these dishes.

On his part, the Director of Tourism and Economic Development, Christian Preciado, pointed out that the objective is to position Puerto Vallarta as a gastronomic destination. With the support of Mayor Profe Michel, this type of events will continue to be promoted.
