The Puerto Vallarta Tourism Trust revealed that the city received recognition in four categories, standing out as the top beach tourism destination for the LGBT community both nationally and internationally.
At the awards ceremony held on Wednesday, the most remarkable achievements in tourism for this community were celebrated, with the participation of 120 nominated companies from 26 cities. Puerto Vallarta solidified its position as one of the primary destinations for LGBT tourism.
The awards received included:
Beach Destination of the Year – Puerto Vallarta Concept Hotel of the Year – Almar Resort Luxury LGBT, Puerto Vallarta Restaurant of the Year – Café Des Artistes, Puerto Vallarta Ally of the Year – Grand Miramar, Puerto Vallarta
The ceremony took place in Morelia, Michoacán, and the awards were received by Luis Villaseñor Nolasco, director of Fidetur in Puerto Vallarta, alongside local entrepreneurs.
It’s worth mentioning that, in this awards presentation, the state of Jalisco was recognized in other categories: Admirable Project of the Year for the Gay Games and Magical Town of the Year, where Tlaquepaque emerged as the winner.
