Travel advisors have nominated Puerto Vallarta in seven different categories for the upcoming Travvy Awards, showcasing the destination’s popularity among travel agencies. This increase in nominations compared to previous years reflects Puerto Vallarta’s strong reputation and desirability among travel specialists in North America, positively impacting international tourist arrivals in the first half of the year.
The Travvy Awards recognize outstanding destinations and travel service providers, including hotels, car rental companies, cruise lines, airlines, and wholesalers, among others. These winners are chosen by travel agents, who are experts in the field.
In 2023, Puerto Vallarta has secured nominations in seven significant categories for these prestigious awards, including:
- Best Destination in Mexico
- Best Honeymoon Destination in Mexico
- Best Gastronomic Destination in Mexico
- Best Destination for Weddings in Mexico
- Best Destination for Weddings Overall
- Best Tourist Office in Mexico
- Best Academic Program for Travel Agents
The award winners will be revealed at the official ceremony on November 2, 2023, at the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
In the previous Travvy Awards in 2022, Puerto Vallarta emerged victorious in five out of the six nominated categories, which included Best Gastronomic Destination in Mexico, Best Tourist Office, Best Destination in Mexico, Best Wedding Destination, and Best Honeymoon Destination.
