The celebration will include concerts, parades, artistic performances,
religious, civic and tourist activities, thus marking the triumph of peace and the life of the city’s

On May 31, Puerto Vallarta’s 105th anniversary as a municipality and the 55th anniversary of its elevation to a city will be celebrated. The activities organized by the municipal government of Luis Alberto Michel Rodriguez include concerts, parades, artistic performances, religious, civic and tourist activities to celebrate the peace and life of the citizens of this beautiful city.
The program commemorating the anniversaries of Puerto Vallarta and the IVC, will begin at 5:00 pm at the Arcos del Malecon, with a performance by the winner of the IVC’s ‘Impulso Musical’ singing contest, Jessi del Carmen Valente Flores, who will demonstrate the great talent of the city.
The big event for Puerto Vallarta’s anniversary will begin at 6:00 p.m. with the Solemn City Council Session, followed by the presentation of the Puerto Vallarta 2023 award. At 8:00 p.m. a cake will be cut and there will be performances by the Municipal Folkloric groups ‘Xiutla’, Nahuales Show and Zafiro. At 11:00 p.m., Angelica and Manuel Vargas accompanied by mariachi will have their presentation, followed by a pyro-musical show and a surprise artist for the closing at 12:00 midnight.
