Luis Villaseñor Nolasco, who heads the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Trust, has communicated that this popular tourist destination will conclude August with a tally of more than 1,700 flights at its International Airport, along with a hotel occupancy rate surpassing 68%.
According to Nolasco, Puerto Vallarta is presently enjoying a highly favorable vacation season, drawing in both local and international visitors. The daily volume of passengers passing through the city’s International Airport exceeds 14,000 individuals.
Nolasco further disclosed that the hotel occupancy rate is set to surpass the 68% benchmark observed in August of the previous year (2022). Furthermore, the city has accumulated a 77% occupancy rate during the first half of this year, which bodes well for the destination.
Recently, the Federal Ministry of Tourism revealed that during the first half of this year, certain tourist centers have stood out for their impressive hotel occupancy rates. These include Akumal at 85.3%, Playacar at 83.5%, Cabo San Lucas at 81%, Nuevo Nayarit at 78.8%, Puerto Vallarta at 77.3%, and Cancun at 76.6%.
In the realm of dining establishments, the National Chamber of Restaurants and Seasoned Food Industry (Canirac) for Puerto Vallarta, Riviera Nayarit, and Costa Alegre has reported that the daily diner occupancy during the summer vacation period ranges from 50% to 55%.
