The municipality of Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, will have six beaches with the important international “Blue Flag” certification, two more than it had until last year. This certification guarantees that these beaches are free of contamination, offer an optimal management of their services and have adequate equipment and security for their visitation. The four new certified beaches are: Los Muertos, Olas Altas, Mismaloya and Las Animas. The beaches already certified are: Los Muertos Arches, Conchas Chinas and Camarones.
Also as of July 1, 2020, Puerto Vallarta will have six Blue Flag beaches: Olas Altas Beach, Camarones Beach, Mismaloya Beach, Los Muertos Beach, Marriott Hotels Beach and Westin Hotels Beach. The official awarding of these flags will take place during the second semester of the year.
