Puerto Vallarta will have a new gastronomic market with a wide offer of antojitos (snacks)

The gastronomic market of the Estación Gourmet school at the Centro Universitario de la Costa is in its final preparation stage. Its aim is to offer a wide selection of food to the local community and the numerous tourists who visit every year. The project, located at the intersection of Francisco Villa and Libramiento Colosio avenues, in the former Regional high school, will consist of 30 establishments and is expected to open to the public in October. Professor Luis del Sordo, coordinator of the Bachelor’s Degree in Culinary Science and Arts at CUCosta, reported that the market will offer a culinary variety from different states of the country.

An additional advantage of the gastronomic market is that Gastronomy students from Estación Gourmet will have the opportunity to work in these facilities in the afternoons, in an area adjacent to their classrooms and laboratories. Furthermore, there is a possibility of offering tequila, craft beer, and raicilla, primarily from local brands. Currently, food producers have the option to request the rental of a space to sell their products, as long as they offer a menu based on authentic national recipes.

The gastronomic market of the CUCosta’s Gastronomy school represents a new offering where there will be a variety of fresh and diverse foods at affordable prices for the local population and tourists. Additionally, the space includes parking, high-quality restrooms, and even a play area for children to have activities while their families enjoy the wide range of dishes available. It is planned for the new space to be open every day of the week, with extended hours from morning to night, so that tourists can also enjoy it.
