Puerto Vallarta’s 67-Year Tradition: The International Fishing Tournament

With a prize pool exceeding one and a half million pesos in cash and rewards, you are cordially invited to participate in the 67th Annual International Marlin and Tuna Fishing Tournament in Puerto Vallarta.

This event is scheduled to occur from November 8th to 11th, with the involvement of approximately 50 teams and roughly 200 competitors hailing from various nations, including the United States, Canada, and even from regions beyond the southern continent.

During the media presentation, attended by representatives from the Mexican Navy, the municipal government, and sponsors, Rodolfo Bárcenas Escudero, the president of the fishing club, underscored the significance of this tournament.

Additionally, Eulalio López Rodríguez, the club’s secretary, highlighted that, in a conservation effort, sailfish will not be part of the competition this year, as was the case last year.

The top prizes will consist of 700,000 pesos for Marlin, 100,000 pesos for Tuna, and 75,000 pesos for Dorado.
