Since Friday, tourists have begun to arrive in Puerto Vallarta to enjoy this long weekend, with beaches and gastronomy being the highlights according to previous surveys.
It is projected that hotel occupancy will exceed 90%, with the Federal Tourism Secretariat forecasting that Puerto Vallarta will be the destination with the highest occupancy of the 12 it monitors nationwide, followed by Nuevo Vallarta.
Restaurants in Puerto Vallarta are prepared for this first long weekend of 2024, expecting to reach 75% occupancy of diners, according to data from CANIRAC Puerto Vallarta, Riviera Nayarit, and Costa Alegre.
At the national level, an economic spill of 55 billion pesos is estimated for the commerce, services, and tourism sector during this festive period, representing a significant increase of 10% compared to previous festivities according to Concanaco-Servytur.
